Outreach Vietnam’s childcare runs at three sites, where orphaned children receive daily care filled with love, patience, and hope.
Volunteer focus: Basic English, life skills (hygiene, sharing, teamwork), storytelling, arts and crafts, outdoor games.
Environment: Lively and welcoming; structured yet flexible sessions work best with short, engaging activities.
Care approach: Positive reinforcement, clear routines, and lots of interactive play to build confidence and trust.
Impact: Volunteers help create joyful learning moments that nurture independence and social skills.
Children profile: All of the children are congenital, physical and mental disabilities such as neurological diseases, down syndrome, and birth defects.
Volunteer focus: Playing with them, help them personal hygiene: change diaper, take shower, feed. Help nanny clean room.
Environment: Quiet, respectful, and spiritually mindful; volunteers work closely with caregivers to provide culturally sensitive, safe care.
Care approach: Patience first — slow pacing, soft tones, privacy during personal care, and celebrating small milestones; always follow individualized care plans and staff instructions.
Impact: Regular volunteer presence strengthens emotional security, supports motor and communication development, and builds trust through predictable, compassionate routines.
Children profile: The center provides health care, rehabilitation and education for children with epilepsy, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome.
Volunteer focus: Playing with them, help them personal hygiene: change diaper, take shower, feed. Help nanny clean room. To support rehabilitation exercises for some children, volunteers will be guided to massage therapy, helping children with rehabilitation exercises with a professional teacher.
Environment: Quiet, respectful, and spiritually mindful; volunteers work closely with caregivers to provide culturally sensitive, safe care.
